Winter Warmer Videos 2024<\/strong><\/center><\/p>\n

22nd-24th November<\/center><\/p>\n

\u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s 12th Winter Warmer<\/strong> (and 4th hybrid<\/strong>) festival presented over 50 poets<\/strong> from seven countries. Most of the featured guests appeared in-person at Nano Nagle Place<\/a>, with a few appearing virtually. <\/p>\n

The festival included a haiku workshop<\/font><\/strong> with Anton Floyd<\/strong>, a poetry-film<\/font> workshop<\/b> with Colm Scully<\/strong>, a launch of Southword<\/strong> issue 47<\/strong><\/em>, two music\/poetry fusions from Se\u0301amus Barra O\u0301 Su\u0301illeabha\u0301in<\/strong>, an experimental theatre performance from Strive Theatre<\/strong> and MacB\u00f3chra<\/strong>, an Open-Mic Showcase<\/font><\/strong> featuring fifteen poets from five Cork-based regular open-mic events, plus a Closed-Mic<\/font><\/strong> set, for ten poets from \u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s regular open-mic sessions during 2024. <\/p>\n

Guests included Paula Meehan, Maw Shein Win, Pedro Serrano<\/strong> (w\/ Anna Crowe<\/strong>), Maria Lado, Louis de Paor, Emma McKervey, Theo Dorgan, Jennifer Horgan, Lorenzo Mari, John Wedgewood Clarke, S\u00e9bastien Revon, Afric McGlinchey, Anton Floyd, Bernadette Gallagher<\/strong> and David McLoghlin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The shortlist and prize-giving for \u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s 12th <\/strong>International Poetry-Film Competition<\/font><\/strong><\/font><\/a> was screened and simulcast, as was an additional, special selection of poetry-films made in Ireland<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
