Winter Warmer Videos 2023<\/strong><\/center><\/p>\n

24th-26th November<\/center><\/p>\n

\u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s 11th Winter Warmer<\/strong> (and 3rd hybrid<\/strong>) festival presented over 30 poets<\/strong> from seven countries. Most of the featured guests appeared in-person at Nano Nagle Place<\/a>, while others appeared virtually. <\/p>\n

The festival included two poetry workshops<\/font><\/strong> with Dylan Brennan<\/strong> and Jessica Traynor<\/strong>, a poetry-film<\/font> workshop<\/b> with Colm Scully<\/strong>, three music\/poetry fusions from R\u00f3n\u00e1n \u00d3 Snodaigh<\/strong>, Aindrias de Staic<\/strong> and Alistair Mackay<\/strong> (with Rody Gorman<\/strong>) (all in-person), an Open-Mic Showcase<\/font><\/strong> featuring four Cork-based regular open-mic events, poetry-films from the verse of the late Macdara Woods<\/strong>, plus a Closed-Mic<\/font><\/strong> set for poets from \u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s regular open-mic sessions during 2023. <\/p>\n

Other guests included Eil\u00e9an Ni Chuillean\u00e1in, Fred D’Aguiar, Sarah Clancy, Vona Groarke, Lauren O’Donovan, Emma Must, Kim Shuck, Alejandro Murgu\u00eda, Gormfhlaith Ni Shiochain Ni Bheolain, Laima Vinc\u0117, Jason J. Fisher<\/strong> and S’phongo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The shortlist and prize-giving for \u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s 11th <\/strong>International Poetry-Film Competition<\/font><\/strong><\/font><\/a> was screened and simulcast, along with an additional, special selection of poetry-films made in Ireland<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
