8th Five Words Poetry Competition Winners and Shortlist Announced<\/font><\/b>

\nWe are delighted to announce<\/em> the results of the 8th<\/strong> Five Words International Poetry Competition<\/font><\/b>. Our warm congratulations go to first place winner Sin\u00e9ad McClure<\/strong> for her poem A Rook Longs For A Badger<\/em>, to second place (and previous competition) winner Jill Munro<\/strong> for her poem The Chagallisation of Joan<\/em> and to third place winner Laura Theis<\/strong> for her poem what you meant when you promised we\u2019d go to the circus <\/em>.<\/p>\n

Judge Grace Wells made her selection from 776 entries (and 35 countries). We will be inviting our winners to take part in \u00d3 Bh\u00e9al’s 14th anniversary online event (12th April 2021), along with a number of shortlisted poets, for the launch of Five Words Vol XIV<\/em>.<\/p>\n
