Eliot Prize, the Hawthornden Prize and the Griffin International Prize. His <em>Collected Poems<\/em> was published in 2006, and <em>Sidelines: Selected Prose<\/em> in 2017. In 2001 he received the Queen&#8217;s Gold Medal for Poetry, and in 2003 the Wilfred Owen Award. He was appointed CBE in 2010, and from 2007 to 2010 was Ireland Professor of Poetry. <\/p>\n<p>In 2017 he received the PEN Pinter Prize, and in 2018 the inaugural Yakamochi Medal. In 2015 he was made a Freeman of the City of Belfast, where he and his wife the critic Edna Longley live and work. In 2022 he was awarded the prestigious Feltrinelli International Poetry Prize for a lifetime&#8217;s achievement. Other awards include the Irish-American Cultural Institute Award and the Eric Gregory Award, which he shared with Derek Mahon in 1965. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, a member of Aosd\u00e1na and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>His twelfth and most recent poetry collection is <i>The Candlelight Master<\/i> (Jonathan Cape, 2020), and his numerous others include <em>No Continuing City<\/em> (1969), <em>An Exploded View<\/em> (1973), <em>Man lying on a Wall<\/em> (1976), <em>The Echo Gate<\/em> (1979), <em>The Ghost Orchid<\/em> (1995), which was short-listed for the T.S. Eliot Award. <em>Gorse Fires<\/em> won the Whitbread Poetry Prize in 1991, and <em>The Weather in Japan<\/em> won the Irish Times Literature Prize for Poetry, the Hawthornden Prize and the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2001. He published an autobiographical work, <em>Tuppeny Stung<\/em>, in 1994, and has edited selections of poems by Louis MacNeice and W.R. His debut collection, <em>Honest Walls<\/em> was published in 2016. His work has been published in various journals worldwide, including <em>Poetry Review, Poetry Ireland Review<\/em> and <em>Cyphers<\/em>. In 2021, she was chosen for Poetry Ireland\u2019s Introductions Series and awarded an Arts Council Literature Bursary.
